Energy Saving Calculator
The energy saving calculator designed by PES and based on the Carbon Trusts energy saving calculator is designed to give an accurate indication of the savings achievable through the introduction of power factor correction equipment and the highly efficient EnergyAce power optimiser.
To use the calculator, simply enter details directly from one months electricity bill, enter the cost of the “Availability Charge” sometimes identified as “Capacity Charge” in pounds and pence.
Enter the charge per kw/h of energy as pence only, ie enter 7.5 to read 7.5 pence per kw/h (not as £0.075).
Enter existing power factor as detailed on you bill, enter 0.80 to mean 0.80pf, if this is not detailed on the bill, simple enter 0.80 as an indication of possible savings.
The existing voltage must be entered as a phase / phase voltage, if for example you only have the phase / neutral voltage for example from a normal plug socket, please multiply the reading by 1.732 (240 will become 415) and enter into the necessary field.
Finally you can automatically email the completed data to a member of out team by clicking the “email details to PES” button which is visible on completion of either calculator.
