The client above is a well known manufacturer of animal feeds who questioned a “Reactive Charge” that appeared on the electricity bills recently and searched the term “Reactive Charge” on the internet, Power Efficient Systems details appeared stating the charge could be removed.
The client supplied us with the last three electricity bills, we carried out an initial survey and identified the client as a user of less than 6000MW/h per annum which entitled the client to an interest free unsecured loan from the Carbon Trust.
Power Efficient Systems completed all the online paperwork and forms, the client confirmed the details as correct, the loan was secured and paid directly to the client, the works were completed and the site is now 99% electrically efficient.
The project included repairs to existing equipment and the supply and install of new equipment to remove the charge and realise the projected savings.
The whole process from initial enquiry to completion via the Carbon Trust Loan scheme took less than 6 weeks, the repayments were over a period of 24 Months and with payback in less than 6 months, the client was more than happy and actually gained interest on the funds (loan repayments are generally dependant on the payback period based on kW/h savings only and for up to 4 years).
