The site above is a world leader in vinyl floor manufacture with an annual electrical energy spend of around 7 million pounds per annum on a 6 Mw site.
The project included a number of repairs to existing equipment and the supply and install of new equipment to achieve and overall electrical efficiency of around 98% form a poor 85% before correction.
Through our continued commitment to all our clients, via our service and maintenance department, the site continues to benefit from the improvements in electrical efficiency and greater utilisation of switchgear generating the annual savings as predicted.
Stage two of our commitment to the client has now focused on Voltage Optimisation and with ongoing consultation, we would expect to save the same client a further 12% in electrical energy usage.
Power Efficient Systems approach to energy reduction at a plants source using proven technologies combined is quite unique within the UK and is proving to be a solid and cost effective route to reduce energy costs and carbon emersions in an ever increasing energy conscious environment.
